Popular YouTube Children's Educator, Ms. Rachel, Named as ̨ÍåSWAG's Newest Ambassador on International Literacy Day
NEW YORK (Sept. 8, 2023) — Today, on International Literacy Day, ̨ÍåSWAG announced children's educator and singer-songwriter Ms. Rachel as its newest ambassador. In her new role – Ms. Rachel, Rachel Accurso – will raise awareness and advocate for ̨ÍåSWAG's work for kids in the United States and around the world.
Ms. Rachel, an educator whose musical early learning videos have generated billions of views, performed a few of her hit songs today at an in-person event with ̨ÍåSWAG in New York City, where she was announced as the global nonprofit's new ambassador. The International Literacy Day event also highlighted the importance of reading and providing early childhood education opportunities for kids.
"Ms. Rachel has dedicated her career to helping children build critical early learning skills – something ̨ÍåSWAG is very passionate about – and we’re excited to have her join our roster of ambassadors to help highlight the necessary support and opportunities all children should have to thrive as learners and in life," said ̨ÍåSWAG President and CEO Janti Soeripto.
The YouTube Channel, "Ms. Rachel," offers educational videos for toddlers and preschoolers, to help children learn important milestones and preschool skills. Rachel has a master's in music education and is currently pursuing a second master's degree in early childhood education. This summer, Ms. Rachel teamed up with ̨ÍåSWAG to support the global nonprofit's Make Summer Fair campaign, to help ensure rural kids in need have the books, meals, education resources and programming they need to keep learning and developing in the summer.
