Chocolate Mug Cake (Microwave)
Looking in my cupboard I have seen all our cookies were gone and I had no idea what I could give my little angel for his snack in the afternoon. I only had some flour but not enough to bake a cake or some cookies and I didn’t had the time to prepare and bake the whole cake and cookies. It has do be something you can prepare in less than 10 minutes; so here it comes a cake in a mug.
My husband loves chocolate but he has a dairy allergy so instead cow milk I used rice milk and instead of using egg I used a banana and to allow the cake to raise in the mug I used baking powder. My two boys loved the cake so much that they even couldn’t wait until the chocolate mug cake was cooled down and they both were eating it slightly hot.
You can prepare a chocolate mug cake in less than 10 minutes, you don’t need milk or any eggs, you can eat it in less than 5 minutes and you can eat the chocolate mug cake hot or cold.
4 tbsp flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp chocolate sprinkles
3 tbsp Rice milk
3 tbsp sunflower oil
1 dash of vanilla extract
- Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and chocolate sprinkles) well in a small bowl.
- Mash the banana well with a fork until it is creamy. Add the banana along with the remaining ingredients (rice milk, sunflower oil and vanilla extract) to the dry ingredients mixture and mix everything well.
- Fill a coffee mug with all the dough and place the mug in the microwave for 2.5 – 3 minutes (800W microwave).
- As a tasty alternative, try replacing the vanilla extract with other flavours like almond or peppermint extract.
